Privacy Policy — RowGlow

Effective date: 19 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the RowGlow app ("the App"), published by Pony That Limited ("we", "us", "our"), handles your information. In short: RowGlow keeps your projects on your device. It has no account, no server, and no internet connection at all. We do not use trackers, and we do not collect or sell your personal data.

What we collect

Project data (stored on your device). The projects you create, including names, craft type, the icon you choose, your counting mode, current and target counts for rows, rounds and stitches, pattern repeat settings, the yarn and the hook or needle size you type in, pattern notes, notes saved against a particular row, the yarn colours you select and your colour-change history, whether a project is finished, and the dates a project was created and last changed, are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. Your settings, meaning your measurement system, whether vibration is on, whether the screen stays awake, and whether you have seen the introduction, are stored on your device in the same way. None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party.

No account. RowGlow does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or any personal identifiers to use it. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.

No analytics or tracking. The App does not include advertising, third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites. It contains no third-party code of any kind.

No internet connection

RowGlow makes no outbound requests of any kind. It does not contain networking code, it does not have a server, and it does not sync to iCloud or to any other service. The App works exactly the same way in airplane mode as it does online, because it never needs a connection. There is no point at which your counts, your notes, or anything else you type could leave your device by itself.

Vibration and screen

When you count, RowGlow can play a short vibration to confirm the tap, and can keep the screen awake while a project counter is open so it does not lock while your hands are busy. Both happen entirely on your device, both are optional, and both can be turned off in Settings inside the App. Neither involves any data leaving your device.

Export

Because nothing syncs to a server, RowGlow lets you export a summary of your projects as a CSV file using the standard iOS share sheet. You choose what happens to that file and where it goes, for example saving it to Files, putting it in iCloud Drive, or sending it to yourself. Exporting is always something you start, never something the App does on its own. Once you have saved or shared that file, it is outside the App and subject to whatever you chose. We never receive a copy of it.

Device backups

If you use iCloud Backup or back your device up to a computer, that backup may include RowGlow's data along with the rest of your apps. This is a standard feature of iOS rather than something the App does, and those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We have no access to them.

Purchases

RowGlow is free and contains no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paywalls.

How your data is used

Because your project data stays on your device, we do not access, analyse, or use it. It exists only to power the App's features for you: your counters, your progress, your notes, your colour history, and the yarn and gauge calculations you ask for.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. The only third party involved in the App's operation is Apple, which provides the App Store and the operating system services the App runs on.

Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual projects, notes, and colour changes within the App, or remove all of the App's data, including your settings, by deleting the App from your device. Files you exported yourself are not affected by this and must be deleted wherever you saved them.

Children's privacy

RowGlow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.

RowGlow counts the rows, rounds and stitches you enter yourself. It does not read or supply knitting or crochet patterns, and its yarn and gauge calculations are estimates. Always allow extra yarn for swatches, joins and pattern variation.
